Balancing Flexibility and Productivity in Your CMS
Tiffany Janzen will explore common challenges with content-driven architecture, and how to choose a CMS that balances both flexibility and productivity.
Eleventy (or 11ty for short) is a different kind of JavaScript-based static site generator in that it is designed to be simple and easy-to-user without relying on any JavaScript framework. This can make it ideal for developers who want to get started building Jamstack sites but without the learning curve of React, Vue or Angular. In this free virtual meetup, Joel Varty will show you how to get started building Jamstack sites using JavaScript and Eleventy.
Sometimes you just want to get some dynamic content into some static HTML files. If you have a static, hardcoded website that’s already built, you don’t need to completely rebuild it in order to get dynamic content into it from an API such as a headless CMS. Eleventy is a great tool to do this work - even if you only need to work on one file at a time.
What you’ll need to get flying with Eleventy:
Joel is President at Agility CMS, a SaaS headless content management platform that combines flexible and fast Headless architecture with familiar and easy Authoring tools for editors.
Joel has over 20 years of experience in customer relationship management, product management and has embraced cloud technology as a ground-breaking concept over a decade ago.
Tiffany Janzen will explore common challenges with content-driven architecture, and how to choose a CMS that balances both flexibility and productivity.
Liam Bigelow shows how the new, open-source Pagefind library helps developer add fast, low-bandwidth search to static sites.
Simon MacDonald walks through how to get started building dynamic web applications that are based upon web standards using the Enhance framework.
