How We Built Qovery
Learn the lessons of building a developer platform from Romaric Philogène. He'll share how he and his team built Qovery, both from a technical and business sense.
There are a lot of technical requirements for making a web site accessible, but first you need to make it a priority. In this free virtual meetup, Obinna Ekwuno of Gatsby argues that the way to make web accessibility a priority is to think about it in human terms.
When developers think of accessibility, they often focus on the code, making syntax semantic, all of the ARIA, etc. However, I believe that even before the code, accessibility is human in the sense that it stems from our sense of self and our sense of empathy. In my talk, I’ll focus on these two things and how you can use them to build better, more accessible websites.
Obinna Ekwuno is a human before anything else and practices Kindness as a service. He mostly works on the web and loves to teach concepts in JavaScript while advocating for web accessibility. He does this through speaking, live streams, and technical articles. Occasionally he is a poet, and he believes that wider conversations will make a better world.
He is currently trying his best to not hinder the backlog as a Developer Advocate at Cloudflare and hopes this last part made you laugh.
